What AMO makes
AMO designs and makes the majority of its denim in Los Angeles, which is where most of the American premium denim trade still operates. The wash houses, the sample rooms and the pattern makers sit within driving distance of each other, and a brand working in that radius can put a fit through several rounds before it ships.
Rigid cotton is the house default. Billie is cut from premium rigid denim. Regina is 100% cotton that arrives lightweight and stiff and softens with every wear. Only a small group of styles carries any stretch at all. Rigid takes longer to break in and then holds the shape you give it, which is why the fades land where you actually bend.
The patterns come from the 70s and the 90s and are rebuilt for modern fit rather than reproduced. Maria is the clearest example, a horseshoe jean with a curved outseam, a cropped ankle and a let-down hem. Jeans run $290 to $368.
Find your fit
Fit is the decision that comes first. Six families cover the whole range.
Straight holds one width from the knee to the hem. Billie is the best seller in the collection, a cropped mid rise in rigid cotton, and Annette runs high with a long inseam built to stack at the ankle. Multiple Billie colorways sit in this grid. Full range in straight leg jeans.
Slim stays close through the hip and thigh, then narrows toward the ankle. 143 is a 90s slim with a mid-rise and a cropped inseam. Libby tapers and stops just above the ankle. Full range in slim jeans.
Relaxed adds room through the hip, seat and thigh before the leg drops. Odette runs low and full-length, Tatum sits mid-rise with a subtle taper below the knee, and Maria is loose through the leg with a curved outseam. Full range in relaxed jeans.
Wide leg opens from the knee outward. Frida is the high rise version and the second most repeated pattern in the line with multiple colorways. Kira runs mid rise and full length. Regina drops the rise low and keeps the hem long. Full range in wide leg jeans.
Flare and bootcut is the smallest group and the most specific. Robbie keeps the flare subtle and crops it, Georgia Crop finishes as a kick flare with a side slit at the hem, and Marcenia Boot is the bootcut, cut low on the hip with a raw hem that stacks. Full range in flare jeans.
Denim trousers take their construction cues from tailoring. Margot and Donna are cut as denim trousers; Cate adds knee darts and utility pockets; and the Easy Army Trouser features patch pockets and a dropped seat. Full range in denim trousers.

Rise
Rise sets where the waistband lands on your torso, and it changes the proportion of everything below it more than the leg shape does. Two sentences will not settle the choice, so each rise has its own grid.
Low sits on the hip and lengthens the torso. Odette and Marcenia Boot are the reference points: low rise jeans. Mid sits on the hip bone and is where most of this collection lives, Billie included: mid rise jeans. High sits at or above the natural waist and gives the longest line through the leg, which is what Frida and Christie are built on: high rise jeans.
Wash
Wash is a finish applied after the jeans are made, and it completely changes the character of an identical pattern.
Light wash jeans is the deepest wash grid in the collection, pale and summer leaning. Medium wash jeans covers the middle of the indigo range, which is the most portable tone across a wardrobe. Dark wash jeans and black jeans are small edited groups. White denim sits outside the indigo range entirely.
Length
Crop and full length are two different jeans in the same pattern. A cropped hem ends above the ankle, keeps your shoe visible and works with a flat. Billie is cropped by design, and Christie Crop and Frida Crop are shortened versions of full-length patterns: cropped jeans.
Full length carries the hem onto the shoe and gives you a longer unbroken line: full length jeans. If the standard inseam runs short on you, Billie Tall is the same jean cut longer.
The styles worth knowing by name
A few patterns come back season after season, and learning them is faster than reading fifty product pages. Billie is our best-selling cropped wide straight leg and appears here in the most colorways. Following that is our Frida, a high rise wide leg. Annette is the high rise straight with the long inseam. Christie is the barrel jean, sculpted through the leg. Marcenia Boot is the bootcut. Margot Trouser is the low rise wide trouser with adjustable waist hardware.
